Clinical Advisory Board

Editorial review body

The Clinical Advisory Board is Goodwin Hospice Academy’s panel of practicing hospice clinicians who review every clinical and regulatory article before publication. As the board grows through 2026, each named member will have their own profile page with credentials and areas of expertise.

What board members do

  • Review new articles for clinical fidelity and up-to-date CMS sourcing.
  • Flag content that could be misread or misapplied at the bedside.
  • Suggest new definitions, case scenarios, and free tools based on real hospice team requests.
  • Sign off with their name and credentials on articles they’ve reviewed.

Who we’re looking for

Board members are typically:

  • Practicing hospice RNs, NPs, physicians, social workers, or chaplains.
  • Certified in their hospice specialty (CHPN, ACHPN, CHPPN, APHSW-C, BCC-HPCC).
  • Currently in a hospice clinical or leadership role — not consultants.
  • Comfortable writing plain-English explanations for peers.

Compensation

Board members receive an annual honorarium for review work plus lifetime free access to Goodwin Hospice Academy for Teams for their organization.

Transparency & disclosures

Current state (2026-02): the Clinical Advisory Board is being built. Articles reviewed by named clinicians will show the reviewer’s name and credentials in the byline strip. Articles awaiting named review show the Goodwin Hospice Academy Editorial Team byline in the meantime — we don’t manufacture bylines.

Interested? Email academy@goodwinliving.org with your CV, hospice role, and one article topic you’d be excited to review. We respond within 5 business days.
